The formulation of disability-friendly policy, and its thorough implementation, is the only way that most of the prevailing inequities against persons with disability will be wiped out. N.C.P.E.D.P. has had some success in this endeavour; the fight, however, is far from over.

N.C.P.E.D.P.’s efforts to promote education for
people with disabilities were given a boost when the U.G.C. recognised disability,
and initiated two new education schemes in 1998.
