Honouring excellence and commitment
Instituted
in 1999, the N.C.P.E.D.P.-Shell Helen Keller awards symbolise an equal playing
field for people with disabilities. Every year, 10 role models are selected
– those who have been doing exemplary work towards helping disabled people
find positions of equality and dignity in the workplace.
They may be individuals or organisations who have the vision to look beyond the obvious. Though they may not think of their own efforts as laudatory, they have nevertheless made a world of difference to the lives of the disabled they have touched.
