Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd: In good company
It was a proud moment for everyone at Bharat Petroleum. Nagraj More, Senior Officer (Training), a visually impaired person, was given a national award last year by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. This was in recognition of his outstanding performance as the most Efficient Disabled Employee.
But then, it is part of the corporate philosophy of B.P.C.L. to give equal opportunities to people with disabilities; taking it as a challenge to ensure that they are given positions that are suitable for them. The company also supports other social activities and empowerment schemes for disabled persons.
